  • Coordinate vulnerability assessments and track remediation
  • Run periodic firewall rule audits and policy optimisation

4. Patch Management & Hardening

  • Use patch tooling (WSUS/SCCM/Intune, Ansible, Red Hat Satellite, or equivalent)
  • Apply server and endpoint hardening baselines

5. Server & Endpoint Administration

  • Administer Windows Server and Linux environments, including Active Directory (GPO, DNS, DHCP, OU, RBAC) and file servers
  • Manage endpoint onboarding, security compliance, and asset lifecycle
  • Support email security and user access governance

6. Compliance, Backup & DR

  • Support ISO 27001 and CMMI audit readiness with evidence, policies, and reviews
  • Implement and test backup and disaster recovery strategies
  • Maintain awareness of data loss prevention practices

Must-Have Skills

  • Strong hands-on networking: VLAN, STP, LACP, OSPF, BGP, NAT, VPN
  • Hands-on Fortinet and/or Checkpoint firewall configuration and troubleshooting
  • Cisco/HP L2/L3 switch management
  • Log analysis, monitoring, and alerting (Zabbix, Grafana)
  • Working experience with a SIEM platform
  • Patch management process and tooling for Windows and Linux
  • Windows Server, Linux, and Active Directory administration
  • Backup and recovery implementation
  • Understanding of zero trust and endpoint protection

Good to Have

  • Kubernetes exposure (network policies, ingress, basic troubleshooting)
  • VMware/KVM virtualisation
  • Scripting/automation: PowerShell, Bash, Ansible
  • Prior exposure to ISO 27001 / CMMI audits

Preferred Certifications

CCNA/CCNP, Fortinet NSE, Checkpoint (CCSA/CCSE), RHCE, Microsoft Certified, or a security certification such as Security+ or CEH.
